screech squeal!

Postby lance on Sun Aug 01, 2010 1:48 am

alright so for starters i drive a gl auto coupe.
and i was driving the other day doing about 40 when one of my mates thought it would be funny to shift it into reverse :x
well, i shat my pants as i thought the trans was gonna blow, but the car just stalled so that was a relief.

well thats not the end of the story because everytime i start her up in the morning i hear this LOUD screechy squeal noise.
and i hear it sometimes taking off for a few seconds then it goes away

any ideas what happened or what i have done? :(

The screech would be 1 of your belts, either the alternator or power steering belt. Tighten it up abit, no biggy.

evo cpe has hit the nail on the head you have a loose belt theres only two to choose from so check them both. dont ignore it for to long though or you'll find yourself on the side of the road after throwing a belt with no ps and ac. or no altenator.

And no coolant circulation either, plus a boiling rad and risk of a warped head.
